software executive George Barlow joins i-Beacon as SVP, Technology
and Operations
Oakland, CA (June 29, 2001) - i-Beacon announced that George
Barlow, a veteran software development executive with over 30
years of commercial software development experience, has joined
i-Beacon as Senior Vice President, Technology and Operations.
George
will assume responsibility for technical development of i-Beacon's
products and oversee i-Beacon's Phoenix technology center.
George will also manage daily company operations, including customer
service, professional services, and administration.
Prior
to joining i-Beacon, George was Senior Vice President, Healthcare
Information Technology, for ProVantage Health Services, Inc.,
a $1 billion pharmacy benefits management and information technology
provider. George served as an operating executive and corporate
officer with P&L responsibility during the growth of the company,
culminating in its IPO on the New York Stock Exchange in 1999.
ProVantage was later acquired by Merck-Medco in 2000.
At
ProVantage, George led the development and commercialization of
internet health intervention strategies based on clinical expertise
and data management. His team created one of the largest integrated
medical and pharmaceutical information databases in the world
with data on 20 million patients.
George
also served as a key executive for HealthVISION Inc., a startup
healthcare software provider. He was Senior Director of Development
during the creation of the flagship CareVISION electronic medical
record. He then was named corporate head of marketing for the
product launch. HealthVISION products were installed in over 60
healthcare organizations worldwide. HealthVISION was acquired
by Eclipsys Corporation and the CareVISION product now provides
the basis for several Eclipsys products.

two clients have licensed its i-Return Consumer Health Record

First Health Group Corp. (NASDAQ: FHCC), the nation's largest
full-service national health benefits company, and PSQV, an eHealth
company funded by the Spanish government, Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERICY),
and other leading European technology companies, will each make
the Consumer Health Record available when they re-launch their
web sites in the second quarter of 2001.
i-Return provides health plans and pharmaceutical companies with
private-label web-based health tools to strengthen their relationships
with their customers. The Consumer Health Record allows the health
plan to provide its members with a secure online location to store
personalized health and medication information, view health information
from the plan's legacy systems, conduct interactive drug checks,

Oakland, CA (July 7, 2000) - i-Beacon announced today the appointment
of Mike Massey as Chief Information Officer. i-Beacon also announced
the opening of its new technology center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Mike brings over 25 years of information technology and networking
experience to i-Beacon. He was Chief Information Officer of
Health Information Services for National Data Corporation where
he directed software development, systems architecture, data centers,
and network operations. He served as CIO for lines of business at
First Data Corporation, a $1.5 billion dollar credit card transactions
processing company. He has also served as senior vice president
at Sprint Corporation and executive vice president at Visa International,
where he was responsible for all data and network operations worldwide.
Mike began his technology career working in data and network operations
for the US Navy. Mike will lead the new Phoenix technology center,
and will direct i-Beacon's technology strategy.
The technology center is i-Beacon's second facility. The corporate
offices are located in Oakland, California's Jack London Square.
The technology center will house the company's healthcare data warehouse.
